The service
heicdrop converts HEIC photos, common image formats, and videos to MP4 in your browser. It is free. There is no account and no paid plan.
Conversion runs on your device. Results depend on your browser, the file, and the settings you choose. Some unusual files may fail.
Your photos
You keep all rights to your photos. You confirm that you have the right to convert them. We do not claim a license to your pictures, and we do not receive them.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, to infringe someone’s rights, or to probe, overload, or disrupt the hosting of the page. The tool is not a file host. You are responsible for what you do with the converted files.
No warranty
The site is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that a conversion will succeed, that colors will match the original, or that the site will be uninterrupted.
HEIC is often smaller than JPG. A larger JPG is normal. Check the result before you delete the original.
Advertising
We may show third-party ads to pay for hosting. Ads are labeled. They are separate from the converter. Use of Google’s services is also covered by Google’s terms.
This website
The page design, text, and original code of heicdrop belong to the operator. libheif, heic-to, and FFmpeg remain under their own licenses. You may not copy the site and present it as your own.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost files, lost profits, or indirect damages arising from use of the site. Where a law does not allow a complete exclusion, liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. For this free tool that amount is zero. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Law and translations
These terms follow the laws that apply where the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds one section unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text controls.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above. If you do not agree with the new terms, stop using the site.
